Hamilton Banding:
Lucie’s report : I had the pleasure of getting the outside perspective. First time for rock climber Jesse (sp?). Not only did he have a very narrow ledge to deal with, but also feisty McKeever, who harrassed him non-stop and nicked him a few times too! Dad, Judson, was no where to been seen. I added a few screen shots to show Jesse’s view from the ledge. Safe and successful fledges to all 3 of McKeever’s and Judson’s kids

May 13, 2024 - Etobicoke - Sun Life Centre
Cathy Kerr Reports:
Our 2nd banding today was at Etobicoke Sunlife, Islington /Bloor. It was a quiet affair this year but we had the great support of the building and Skyreach, with John’s help. John got the kids out quickly, Anne was not happy, no sign of Dad, Romeo (tho he made a brief appearance when we were inside).
Mark and Eva banded. It’s 3 girls(big girls lol) and a boy for Anne and Romeo.
The building is going to name the chicks and will get back to us on that.
Girl, 920g, 33/AB, red tape
Girl, 910g, 34/AB, white tape
Boy, 645g, C/50, blue tape
Girl, 850g, 35/AB, yellow tape
Many thanks again to Mark and Eva for banding. And John for his wonderful work in getting all the chicks off and then back home safety. And thanks to Sally for her invaluable help and support for me… I promised Marion I would get the bandings done. First 2 done.
Emotional , but a good day.

And, as Marion wished…
Banding day at Don Mills :
It’s 2 boys and a girl for Canuck and Bellatrix! The day started gloomy and rainy but by the time we got to the roof, the sky brightened and the clouds even parted for a bit. John our wonderful climber got the chicks out quickly and into our banders Mark Heaton and Eva Boback hands. And as also a Marion wish, Ted and Rob were there to name them. Roshan from the building named the 3rd. All went smoothly and we have 3 healthy chicks!
Boy, 660 g, C/48, blue tape named Simba
Boy, 660g, C/49, red tape named Tava
Girl, 810 g, 32/AB, white tape named Roshan.
Thanks to John, Mark Heaton, Eva and Sally for your great help and support.

Fantastic news from MEC…. 4 chicks!! And the camera is up and running too! We got a call from the building asking when we were going to band the chicks… So I headed out to check and get that camera working lol. Many thanks to Chris, Marcos and Mohamed for their help. Four beautiful chicks! I got Kathy Majich on it, and she is trying to confirm that it’s still Midnight there. When we get a good look at her band, we will let you know. Oldest chick looks to be about 13 days old.
Update: It is Midnight!!

Hello All
It is with incredible sadness and extreme sorrow that I must report that Marion has lost a 4 month battle with lung cancer and has passed away at the Scarborough General hospital at age 62. Marion passed away and took her last breath while holding her in my arms and I can’t tell you how much I will miss her! I have never in my life felt so much pain and heartache..
Marion made me promise before her passing that there be no fuss or funeral and wished to be cremated. She asked that I spread her ashes in northern Ontario in a special place where we had spent most of our free time together, in a special place surrounded by nature and the animals that we both love so much.
Marion and I have been together for over 42 years, she was my school sweetheart, my girlfriend, my wife, my lover, my hunting partner, my scuba diving buddy, my first mate, the love of my life, my sole and life mate and so much more!
For the first time in my life, I just can’t find the words.
