Cathy arrived on site this morning and knew right away someone fledged seeing only only 3 on the ledge. As she was parking she spotted a chick on 225 Duncan Mill on the window ledge of the 4th floor. she was able to see the green tape on his silver band so Ace is the first to go.
Cathy was bang on with her predictions of fledge date. Way to go!!!!
I will be joining her this afternoon hope we stay dry.
UPDATE DON MILLS: All good with the fab four!! I spent some time there this morning, Yeager was the first to the top of the nest box last night, and Nitro and Ace were up there this morning! Nitro was the first to do a ledge hop, and back this morning. Sally and I met up this evening and watched til close. Sally arrived to find Yeager ledge hopped over 3 ledges!! He even got a feed there. Made it back no problem. Fluff is disappearing . Official watch starts tomorrow!
All quiet on fledge watch at Bloor Islington Place. There was some flapping of wings but for the most part the chicks were quiet until mom brought in food again at 6:30. By 7:30 the kids looked like they were getting ready for bed glad since it was supposed to rain.
Lunch served.
Mark released Mohammed again tonight on the roof top of Mississauga MEC #1 no problems he is just fine. Hopefully he joins his brother Ishaq tomorrow on MEC #3 where Tracy had released him yesterday night and where he stayed today.
Mother keeps chasing Braveheart off the ledge where he likes to hang out.
We are thinking he might be the first to fledge on the weekend…if he can wait that long.
Two of the girls are madly flapping their wings to demonstrate they too are getting ready for their flights.
Get’s lots of the white fluffy fur off them.
The remaining one still has lots of white fluff on her.
No fledge yet 4 chicks being fed 6:06 PM
Bruce reports that Ishaq has shown himself and is still on the roof of MEC #3 where he was released last night. He is also being feed by adult.
All 4 chicks still on the nest I think the rain has kept them on the nest. Perhaps one will make the first flight tomorrow.
