MacGyver looking good!

December 31, 1969 - Toronto - Don Mills and Eglinton - Amexon

Cathy Kerr Reports:

I am keeping an eye on our little man-saw him and his Mom during the storm earlier this week, hunkered down on the ICICI sign!  He had learned his lesson from early in his first flights lol.  Today I had only a short bit to watch, and at first found noone.  I was just about to leave when Jenna flew in and settled on the “N” on Sony sign.  Minutes later, MacGyver flew from ICICI building over to above the nest ledge! I got a couple of pics and he is looking great!!!  Jenna & Chester are doing a great job -way to go MacGyver!!!

Bunnies, ground hogs, gulls…and finally a peregrine!!

Update on MacGyver! He is doing just great! I have seen him most days this week-tho missed him Thursday & Friday. So I set out tonight determined to catch a glimpse of him! I saw bunnies & ground hog, gulls..and Bruce even dropped by lol!! He went on a walkabout(and found Mom, hunting) to look for our wayward boy but I stayed back. As I knew from previous years that the family always came back to ICICI. And our boy did not disapoint me-he actually flew in onto the “S” of the Sony sign! He looked great-and quite pleased with himself lol!! Milestone reached-well done MacGyver !   Jenna & Chester are doing a good job with their only child!

!!! Sad News To Report

August 04, 2016 - Toronto - Don Mills

Marion Nash Reports:

A report came in to the OMNRF office to Mark Heaton that a Peregrine Falcon was found dead on Crossbow Cres. Toronto in the Victoria Park and Sheppard area August 1st. Unfortunately the bands reported was Y over 27 who we all know as Jet. He was found at the curb so he may have been hit by a car. He was to be picked up by animal services that day.

So far no other reports on any of the other fledglings since the new unbanded male showed up on site.

Weekend spot checks finds MacGyver well!

Cathy Kerr Reports:

Numerous spot checks by myself and Bruce have found MacGyver doing well!  He still is enjoying the rooftops–I am waiting for him to make the letters like his parents.  While I was there last night, he was screaming and whining.  Mom and Dad were there, swooping him from time to time, trying to get him to fly I suspected. And it finally worked and off he flew, screaming the whole time lol. He landed finally on the ICICI building again and there I left him. At least I got to see him in the sky this time lol
