Quest and Kendal have produced their first egg of the nesting season. Congratulations to Quest, Kendal, her Duncan Mills Rd hosts and Auntie Donna. Thanks to Kathy for the heads up that there was an egg! We eggcitedly await more!
Checking in at 4 p.m. Toronto time from France, there are still only three eggs at the Sheraton site. Today should be the “delivery date” for the fourth egg. There’s still time.
Bill and I spent an hour or so at the Lift Bridge this afternoon. Despite the cold, Dad sat preening on the Cable Arm of the Hamilton Tower. Mom was not visible and I assume that is because she was tucked into the back corner of the nest box.
This is a combination report for March 27th and 28th.
Both days, while we were there over a couple of hours, Dad Mackenzie, was doing most of the incubation duties. Must be a “modern day” Dad. Mom Cirrus, brought him in dinner and dropped it just inside the box. He got up and had what appeared to be a discussion with her and then disappeared again into the back left corner of the box. Cirrus then sat dozing on the front of the box in the sun out of the wind. I guess she is resting up for what’s to come. They were still mating as of March 27th.

Good news from Hamilton as Surge and Madam X have produced their first egg. Congratulations are in order, and looking forward to a successful and prosperous season in Hamilton.

Three eggs for Rhea Mae & Tiago! Woo Hoo! I suspect she was laying the 3rd in the attached pictures from 8:23 this morning.

(Thursday, March 29, 2012) — 7:20 a.m. — As I’m walking up Lyon Street from Wellington Street I spot an adult falcon perched on the SW corner of “Place de Ville, Tower C”. The falcon is keeping a steady eye towards the Delta Ottawa City Centre hotel rooftop. I certainly hope that its mate is on the nest protected by the elements inside the hotel’s rooftop.
— 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. — I observed Diana on the SW corner of the Delta Ottawa City Centre hotel twice in the afternoon.

Trillium & Buffalo Bill now have 4 eggs & full incubation is under way. With the cold weather, it is hard to catch a glimpse of the eggs. Hopefully it warms up real quick. Mom & Dad are taking turns but it’s mostly Trillium on the eggs.
Just happened to tune into the web cam and caught a hand off of the nest with the three eggs Frank reported earlier today withRhea Mae and Tiago in view.
Rhea Mae and Tiago have their 3rd egg! Thanks to our webmaster Matt for fixing the issues we had yesterday with our ability to view the camera,as soon as he was made aware of the problem. All of our Sheraton Centre webcamera watchers appreciate it too.
