June 18th fledge watch winds down

June 19, 2022 - Greater Toronto - Private Residential 1

Marion Nash Reports:

All was quiet on the home front yesterday.
Braveheart was seen flying around a bit and was “allowed” back in the nest by the girls.
Girls did a lot of wing flapping but no flying.
Thanks to Maggie Pawlak for the pictures.

Hi Marion,
Just a note to advise that we have ended our Fledge Watch but everyone will be monitoring around the buildings over the next few days to make sure there are no fledgeling accidents, etc. All 4 were gone from the nest as of yesterday morning and Duchess and Braveheart were spotted with dad, Indie, on the top ledge yesterday evening where he was enjoying his meal and ignoring the chicks. We released Diana on Thursday about 10 pm on the rooftop of 288 and surprisingly we could hear mom, Aria, circling in the dark above us and squawking. She’s an amazing mom!
Just a little concerned that we haven’t seen Victoria at all nor Diana after her release. Hopefully mom knows where they are and is looking after them.
