!!! Banding Day

May 28, 2021 - Toronto - Canada Square Building - Yonge and Eglinton

Marion Nash Reports:

This year we have 2 girls and 1 boy all very healthy weights and 1 as feisty as her mom Haven. Although it was not a public banding and we could not invite folks to attend because of covid there was nonetheless much to do to prepare for banding here. Thanks go out to Mark Heaton and Eva Bobak for banding the chicks and to Jodie from Security for sending me updated photos of the nest from egg-laying to hatch and development of the chicks so I could properly determine the optimum banding date and for setting up everything we would need to get the job done. I also want to thank the guys from Solar Window Washing for their expertise in extracting the chicks from the ledge while dealing with Haven the adult female who is very aggressive in protecting her chicks and nest without them bandings could not happen here and lastly but not least Oxford Properties Group for their continued stewardship as nest host.

Everything went very well and we are looking forward to the start of the fledge watch soon!
