Kendal At Home
August 19, 2012 - Toronto - Don Mills
Frank Butson Reports:
Reporting for Patty:
Sunday August 19th - Harlequin Nest
Arriving at 2pm - on a nice sunday afternoon, I drove around 220 , 225 & 240 Duncan Mills Road - not seeing or hearing a thing !
Just as i was driving towards the Thales building - I heard loud high pitched keyy- keeeey noises
I turned the car around and there, on the south-east corner of the Harlequin building (funny, he wasn’t in his usual upper corner at 240)
was Kendal. I had to get my camera out just to be sure. He was quite vocal. I sat there for 15 minutes listening to him squawking all by
himself!
I did another drive around all the buildings in the area (even Thales) and Kendal was the lucky one that got all my attention.
They’re still doing renovations at 220 & 240 Duncan Mills Rd so maybe this is why the site has been so quiet lately.
I haven’t seen Amora, Blaze or Mira in at least a month. Quest & Kendal are usually hanging around.

Franks Note: It’s possible the young are in the area but this time of year, they are likely off exploring. Fall migration for birds of prey has begun, starting to pick up in September.
