A big thank you to Jacquie from our good friends in Buffalo from the New York Department of Environmental Conservation who was kind enough to send us some additional history of Statler.

Hi Mark,

I just wanted to tell you how delighted we are to hear that “Statler” is alive and well and nesting in Waterloo! It is amazing to think that the only bird we were able to band from the Statler nest in 2010 was rescued in 2011 and now nesting in 2012! I wanted to send you some pictures of her from when she spent the night at the Erie County SPCA and of her release on top of City Hall on June 15, 2010. May she have many happy and productive nesting seasons in Waterloo!
