A quick visit today to do a final check on the Etobicoke Sun Life hatchlings before their big day tomorrow, and all is well. Once again, the extreme change in weather had the two hatchlings huddled together with the temps substantially cooler today with no humidity and blustery winds.
While the sun was shining and blue skies, the wind chill factor at 24 stories up had us all dawning jackets and looking for cover behind the building walls to get out of the gusty winds.
The resident adult female was on guard, holding on tight to the upper roof ledge flashing just above the nest ledge.
We’re all looking forward to the banding tomorrow
