!!! Day 31 and Some Excitement

Arrived on site at 7:15 in the midst of a flurry of pigeons flying for cover! Jack was clearing air space on the condo roofs and then Angel actually got off her eggs and joined him. I was a bit concerned as it was rainy and cool and wondered if perhaps we could have an overnight hatch ? After a few minutes Angel returned to the nestbox and I could see she was laying with her back high..another good sign.
Jack, however was not done. He patrolled every tower in the vicinity and chased off anything with wings. At one point he started dive bombing 3 Canada Geese who were 3 towers over!
Finally he settled on one of the back buildings to keep watch. It wasn’t until awhile later that I saw the window washer adjacent to the nestbox ledge that I realized that was what had them upset. It never occurred to me that there would be someone up on the roof in the rain. Sadly he still has the entire side of the building that is next to the ledge to complete so I expect more upset parents tomorrow. Let’s hope they can get the job done before eggs hatch in the next few days. When I left an hour ago Jack was still there keeping one eye on the building and ready to pounce.
