!!! Zera Has Left the Nest!

Zera has fledged! The first flight likely took place at first light
this morning. Jan arrived on site at 6:30am and Zera was not on the
nest ledge. After considerable searching, she found Zera on a
satellite dish on the roof of 34 King West, the press building.
Later, she appeared to drop to the roof and out of view. I did a
ground and building search of the surrounding area to no avail.
Paul got access to the roof of 1 Toronto and also couldn’t see
anything. We did hear vocalising and it couldn’t have been from her
brother. Both adults remained in the area, particularly
around the nest building. Hopefully, the volunteers will figure
out what gives this afternoon.
