Dennis Patrick Reports:
Last evening we stopped by the Bridge again to check out our family of four, they were busy eating and flying around.
This morning, Thank You to Ted who had been there since 6 A.M. who informed us that he saw a difference this morning in that they were flying around together for about 45 minutes. Freddie and Voltaire were hanging around making sure that Spitfire and Lady Gaga were doing good. No feeding had been done yet.

Yesterday we were there three times to check on Lady Gaga and Spitfire, both of them doing very well. Last night after the Fireworks were over we drove down to check and make sure everyone was doing good. At that point we could only see Freddie sitting on top of the nest tray, the others must have been hunkered down for the night. This morning on our way to the Shop we stopped by again, Spitfire was sitting on the West side of the abudment while Lady Gaga was sitting on the South of the abudment, Freddie brought her in a food package and she was doing really good on ripping it apart.
Thank You to Collette, Bess and Ted, without your watchful eyes we could not do this alone. If I’m missing anyone that were there yesterday please forgive me.

I know it has been a few days since we posted anything but when you have two kids to look after well need I say more? It has been a busy and sometimes very stressful past three days. We had to rescue Lady Gaga twice and put her up on to the roof across the street and then she just flew without any problems at all. Spitfire came down on the ground and walked up the steps across the street and decided that’s where he was going to stay until he could see Lady Gaga and then he thought I want to be up there as well. He didn’t quite make it so he came down on the ground and then by late evening we put him on the roof as well. That lasted about 10 minutes or so and he flew back towards the nest but landed on the abudment of the Bridge. Where he spent the night. Thank You to Susan & John, Bess, Collette, Ted, Mark and Marilyn for being such good Watchers this weekend. Also, the Bridge Company if it were’t for all of you Lady Gaga and Spitfire would not be such good flyers right now. Kim came with the lift truck three times, twice for Lady Gaga and once for Spitfire. Dennis and I cannot Thank all of you enough.

I got to the Ambassador Bridge at 1:50pm to start my watch… Boy was I surprised.. Lady Gaga 20 minutes before I got there took flight… She was on the ground and very active jumping and running all over the place. She was very sneaky trying to out smart us.. Spitfire was vocal and flapping around while Voltaire and Freddie did there best to try and get him to fly.. Dennis rescued Lady Gaga just before the storms hit.. I wonder what tomorrow will bring..

Dennis Patrick Reports:
As Dennis was getting ready to be interviewed by CBC Radio we got a call that Lady Gaga had fledged and was in a fenced in area just walking around. When we got there she was looking tired. Thanks to Bess who witnessed it, Collette and Smurf who kept walking around the fence outside to make sure she was safe. Around 4 P.M. Dennis went inside the fence with a pet carrier and she just walked in it. Then we put her in the shade with a towel over it and spritxed her a few times which she seemed to really enjoy. Around 9 P.M. Kim from the Bridge company came by with a lift to put Dennis and Lady Gaga on the roof of the building across the street. He checked the roof first to make sure there were no animals of any kind up there. We left the site around 10:30 P.M. At 12:30 P.M. we were anxious whether or not she was still on the roof so we drove back there again and sure enough she was on the corner looking very good. Spitfire was standing on the nest box looking around. This morning when we got there she was still on the roof, the Blue Jays were very noisy around the area. Voltaire came in with food for Lady Gaga at 7:20 A.M. Both Lady Gaga and Spitfire were fed will we were there. Last evening we had lots of rain. This morning showers at times. We will keep you updated on these beautiful Peregrines. Also, Dennis has lots of pictures he will be posting soon.

At first I wasn’t sure how the nest box would work for the two of them. Well, after seeing how much they are enjoying it, I’m very happy we have that one now for the Peregrine Falcons. Thank You to CPF for bringing it when they came to do the banded and the Bridge Company for allowing it to happen. We were there at 6:15 A.M., both Lady Gaga and Spitfire were very active, jumping up and down from the nest box to the ledge and then the same thing over and over. They were busy preening themselves as well. Both Freddie and Voltaire came in with food, actually Lady Gaga was mantling over the food at first, when the four of them were all there together it was hard to see who was who. When we left at 7:35 A.M. both Lady Gaga and Spitfire were standing close to each other on the nest box, Freddie and Voltaire were both on the pipe. Stay tune for more updates.

First we would like to Thank Bess, Collette and Denise for being at the Bridge yesterday watching Lady Gaga and Spitfire. Also, our good friend Daren who was there from 8 A.M.to 5:30 P.M. watching out for us because he enjoys these wonderful creatures. He loves to race his motorcycle so why not watch the Peregrine Falcon. We were back there again this morning about 6:30 A.M. Voltaire was on the beam. Lady Gaga and Spitfire were in the nest tray then Freddie came in with food, lots of vocal. When we left Lady Gaga was still standing on the nest box while Spitfire was lying down in the corner, I guess having a nap after breakfast. Thank You to Todd Pepper a friend from HBMO and local birder extrodinaire who has volunteered to watch for us early morning.

Dennis and I were at the Bridge Saturday, Sunday and again this morning at 6 A.M. Freddie and Voltaire are staying close to Lady Gaga and Spitfire, seems like they know something that we don’t!! Lady Gaga and Spitfire are very happy with their new nest box, it’s fun to watch them jump up on the edge of it and then jump down again. This morning they were flapping their wings like they were going to fly. At one point this morning Freddie flew towards the truck and chased a Mourning Dove away from the top of the fence. The family of four are very enjoyable to watch. Stay tune for more reports.
