There is one more egg so fingers crossed we will have another hatch in a day or so!
Thank you so much to Martin Dekkers for taking these three photos

The two females then flew around for a bit chasing each other and landed on the
grass in front of the Club House, between the parking lot and the street and carried on their fight.
With the help of Marlen Cater, Barb Blair and me, we were able to get the two apart.
Last seen right before dusk still chasing each other in flight.
We understand they do not fight in dark! So, who knows what will happen tomorrow!!
Meanwhile Indie was simply sitting around watching the episode, feeding himself!

My last sighting as dusk came in was Indie on the top ledge and Aria exercising her wings and appeared to be eating. Will continue to monitor tomorrow and hope that is the last threat for Indie - she is so powerful. Thanks Mark for your advice to approach them on the ground to frighten and separate them - thanks to Martin for taking the stick out of the garden and getting them apart. What a team - chat later - Marlene

Milburn’s fledge & rescue, Saturday, June 13 - One fledge watcher reported:
“Lots of excitement this morning! After flying towards the golf course, he ended up on our outdoor pool fence. The blue jays were not impressed with the intruder and started to attack him. Our watchers waved towels without much success. Milburn took off and flew into the trees on the golf course side and landed on the ground. A couple of watchers drove over there, talked to one of the employees into letting them borrow a golf cart and the employee led them to where Milburn was stuck. Just like they were taught, the watchers took towels, got Milburn and placed him into a box. CPF volunteer Lucie Kirchknopf brought a proper carrier, and put Milburn into it. Security got in touch with residence manager who very willingly took Milburn and a watcher to the roof and released him.”
Scarlet’s fledge & rescue, Saturday, June 13 - One fledge watcher reported:
“Just to advise that Scarlet has safely fledged - is sitting on a low balcony ledge and I have perfect view of her - she is calm”
In the evening, one fledge watcher reported:
“Scarlet took off across the street to a parking lot and latched onto the fence. A brave person got her into his grasp/bare handed (said all you have to do is hold the wings) they placed her in the box. She was put back on the roof that night”
Cheers, Lucie

Etobicoke Condo now has 3 hatchlings and 1 egg to go.
As in the past we are not publishing the address at the request of building management. This being a private residence they do not want to attract bird watchers and photographers.

Marion Nash Reports:
On June 12, 2006, the ‘Four Sisters’ towers at the Lakeview Generating Station in Mississauga were imploded!
Shortly thereafter, the family of Peregrine Falcons which had nested there discovered a similar residential building in Etobicoke
The Peregrine nests have been showing up annually during March of each year and this year is no different. It has been confirmed that there are four eggs on the nest site (which is called a Eyrie). The first egg was laid on March 24, the second, March 27 and two more on March 30 – April 1. As our Mom and Dad are banded, our female is called Aria (she came to us last year from Rochester) – along with the male, Indie, who arrived from Indiana. They both share the incubation – taking turns sitting on the clutch. Incubation takes 29 – 32 days per egg. The chicks hatch over a period of a couple of days so we should see this phenomenon late April into early May.
The above picture was taken April 2, 2020 with Mom and Dad in the process of changing shifts - it has been confirmed there are 4 eggs in the clutch.
More information will be provided as we continue to monitor.
