June 05, 2015 - Toronto - Sheraton Centre

CPF Volunteer Reports:

June 5th - 2015
Its banding day at the Toronto Sheraton Centre Hotel - See the YouTube video at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSHlNQ5LCbkTPps432yxEaQ

A huge thank you to our hosts - the Toronto Sheraton Center management group, the bander, Mark Heaton from the Aurora district of Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests, to the employees at Osler, Hoskin, Harcourt LLP for their sponsorship support in helping us bring you the live web camera images to you!
And to Lind Woods, our downtown fledge watch coordinator who was also on hand in support of the Sheraton peregrines.

A very good day indeed, celebrated with the support of Waldorf Academy school children who were both on hand to witness the banding, but who also provided the name for the young 20 day peregrine hatchling. Meet Sandy, a very healthy 800 gram feisty young female peregrine hatching, banded with a solid Black Canadian recovery band Y over 97, with Red Tape .

As I complete this update posting with todays banding particulars and with one last check of the Toronto Sheraton camera, I was able to capture a real family moment shot with mom and baby sleeping snuggled up to one another no worse for ware after the days events.
