!!! Disappointing news!!
March 24, 2012 - Toronto - Canada Square Building - Yonge and Eglinton
CPF Postmaster Reports:
This morning we received a call from Bruce Massey reporting that on-going building work was underway at the Canada Square nest at the Yonge & Eglinton nest site, with cables / ropes hanging down from the roof area that were laying directly over and in front of the nest ledge where the peregrines nested in last year.
While both resident adults were visible throughout his observations, neither of the adult peregrines were observed going near the west elevations where they had previously nested and produced offspring last year.
As a result of the mornings observations, the resident adults gave him no indication that nesting activity or eggs were being attended too at this time.
