!!! Puddle Jumping?!

Kathy Reports:
It took me most of the day to figure out what was going on up on the ledge. I saw Angel early this morning dozing beside the nest box briefly and then she vanished into the nest box for awhile. On subsequent checks I only had Jack in view; Jack doing donuts around the building, Jack plucking lunch for Angel and clearing pigeons from the rooftops. I couldn’t see Angel’s wings or head sticking out of the nestbox so I was a bit perplexed.
At one point I went out and ran into an old friend and one of our watchers Ian and he had Jack in sight on one of the business towers - a place where he never hangs out but the previous years juvies loved to perch on. We couldnt’ figure out what he was doing there but he was staring at the rooftop of the nestledge building and stayed there for quite awhile.
Finally as I left the office, I made one more attempt to find Angel. When I looked up to the nest ledge - I could hear and see a very wet peregrine alarm calling! I looked around and found nothing in the skies, the window washer had left for the day so I have no idea what he was alarming about! Then suddenly Angel popped up from the rooftop to the corner of the building and she was dripping wet too!! Although it was dry today, there are probably some puddles leftover from yesterda’s downpour on the rooftop and perhaps they decided to take a bath! It may seem strange to us but I have seen photos of falcons down in Ohio that love to bathe in the rivers and streams.
I’m guessing that due to the window washer having a direct line of sight to the falcons ledge and their rendezvous spot - they decided to head to the roof for some privacy today to continue ‘egg’ production
