Summer Arrives for A Day!

Well I was able to see dad’s black band today but he was in the shade so no go at reading it…I will get it one of these days!! He’s a handsome devil though, he’s very much darker than mom is. Next to her his feathers look jet black, he is quite striking! Both parents are the same pair from last year as I’ve observed them daily for the past year and know their habits quite well now.
The young are doing well today, it’s a balmy 20 degrees today so the parents are just hovering over them and let them lay in the open. All three of them were pecking at the lone egg today at one point, no doubt a subtle hint to mom and dad that it might be time for a snack.
