Cliff Peregrine nest on Virginia coastal tower

For what I believe is a first in Va. and maybe all of the east. An adult male peregrine nesting at Cobb Island tower has been positively identified as *V/8 B/R. This male was banded on 6/12/1997 at PRECIPICE CLIFF, CHAMPLAIN MTN BAR HARBOR Maine. As far as we know this crossover from natural cliff to 24ft coastal tower has not been document in VA and maybe all of the east. The new digital recorder which is now being used in VA has been making identifying the adult at nest sites very easy.
