November 10, 1999 -- This red-tailed hawk was photographed in south-central Pennsylvania around 10 am.  The bird just happened to be feasting on its prey in the woods outside our home, and the digital camera with a 200 mm lens was handy.  Note the clear upper breast and the dark band below the breast, which are characteristic of red-tails.
