Project School Visit:
Wilton Grove Public School (London)

Visits sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In December 2002, we visited London's Wilton Grove Public School with one of our peregrine falcons. Below is a comment from the school as well as drawings from the students:

The teachers and students at Wilton Grove Public School would like to thank TD Bank Friends of the Environment for their sponsorship of the Canadian Peregrine Falcon presentation which took place at our school on December 5.

The students enjoyed the presentation very much and learned a lot from it.  The information was presented in an entertaining and interesting manner, which captivated the students; attention and made them very empathetic towards the plight of the Peregrine Falcon.  They understood the material presented and realized the importance of taking care with our environment so that we do not harm the plants and animals which exist in the wild.  This was a presentation that they will remember since actually meeting the falcon is so much more memorable than just being told about in in our regular science class.  It is an excellent enhancement of our Habitat curriculum.

Thanks again.  We are hoping that some of our younger students will be able to enjoy this presentation in future years.
