In February 2001, we visited Public School in , with our ten-year-old female peregrine falcon "Qetesh". Below are some comments from the school:
I wanted to thank the Canadian Peregrine Foundation for the excellent presentation made by Mark Nash at our school on February 16, 2001. His presentation to our Junior classes was well received by students and staff and the link to curriculum was a valuable addition to our science program. In particular, the students were very excited to see the living specimen. What a beautiful bird to see in such close proximity!
We appreciate the support of the Leeds and Grenville Counties Stewardship Councils for sponsoring our school in this activity. The continued personal support from Gary Nielsen and Andy Mannseichner certainly enhances such learning opportunities in our school.
Our staff hopes you will be able to continue to make this special program available to all elementary schools at no charge to us. It's great to work in such a valuable partnership.
Once again, on behalf of students and staff, thank you.
Sincerely,
Harold
