The Canadian Peregrine Foundation
Project School Visit:
Lord Strathcona Public School (Kingston)
Visit sponsored by: TD
Friends of the
Environment Foundation
In April 2002, we visited Kingston's
Lord Strathcona Public Schoolwith our female peregrine falcon,
"Penny". Below is a letter from the principal:
Thank you for thinking of the Lord Strathcona Public School
students when you considered arrangements for the Canadian
Peregrine Foundation to present at this school. The
students most enjoyed the interactive presentation and were
thrilled to see the Peregrine Falcon up close. Many of
the students in this community would never have the
opportunity to see a bird of prey, therefore, to view one
and to learn about its life was very special indeed.
All the students now have a greater understanding as to how
fragile the balance of nature is and how important it is to
preserve these wonderful creatures.
We wish the Canadian Peregrine Foundation well as it
continues to pursue its educational and preservation
goals. Our students have most benefited from your
consideration.
Yours sincerely,
Anne Jacobson
Principal
