In March 2002, we visited St. Maria Goretti Catholic School with our female peregrine falcon "Penny". Below is a letter from the principal:
The students were enraptured with the information you conveyed about the peregrine falcon. They anxiously awaited the moment when the falcon was removed from her carrying box. They were thrilled to see a live bird of prey, particularly one whose habitat is specific to North and South America. The presentation supported the Grade 4 Science curriculum of Habitats and Communities and provided the students with a direct experience of an endangered species (also part of the Science curriculum).
Through this experience and discussion, the students were able to more fully understand how human behaviour has directly affected the viability of the peregrine's existence, and how, in turn, it is everyone's responsibility to ensure their continued existence. As Grade 4 students, being informed and making small donations are a few ways in which they can support the continued existence of endangered species.
Yours sincerely,

In March 2000, we visited St. Maria Goretti in Scarborough with our one-year-old peregrine falcon "Scotty". We haven't received any feedback from the students, but here is a letter from the school:
On behalf of the grade 6 and 7 classes at St. Maria Goretti Catholic School I would like to express our appreciation for your presentation on the Peregrine Falcon. The students and teachers thoroughly enjoyed it. All who attended now have a good understanding of the habitat, flight patterns, and plight of the Peregrine Falcon.
We are very appreciative for the Student Books and Video. They are excellent! The teachers will find them very helpful in planning and delivering part of the Ontario Science curriculum.
We highly recommend the CPF School Visit Program to other teachers and schools. The presentation was professional, informative, and age appropriate for our students. The children really enjoyed seeing such a magnificent bird up close.
Thank you for a truly worthwhile presentation.
Sincerely,
J. Cawley, Principal; D. Fahlenbock, Vice-Principal; J. Greb, Vice-Principal
