In January 2001, we visited St. Joseph & St. Francis Catholic Schools in Guelph, with our two-year-old male peregrine falcon "Scotty". Below is a drawing by one of the students, followed by some comments from the school:

Here are the teacher's comments on the presentation of Peregrine Falcon on January 15, 2001 at our schools:

The students were delighted with the presentation. They are interested in
contacting the association by way of their website and they are drawing pictures
that they want me to send in. It was very informative.
The presentation was excellent! There were several components to the presentation which kept the students' attention. The presenter began by talking about endangered species, asking students to name some. He then talked about the Peregrine Falcon in Ontario, their natural habitat and their habitats in the cities. He showed a short video clip about a pair of falcons nesting on a skyscraper in Toronto. He also had a live Peregrine to show the children. The presentation ended with questions from the students. A Student's Guide to Ontario's Endangered Wildlife, A Peregrine Falcon Unit was given to each teacher.

I thought the presentation was wonderful. It was the right length to keep
the student's attention and it was very interesting. The students really
liked seeing the falcon and they asked interesting questions. I thank that
any age group would benefit from the presentation - perhaps some information on
careers in wildlife preservation and other similar organizations would be useful
for older students.
