Project School Visit:
Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School (St. Catharines)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In February 2001, we visited our Lady of Fatima Catholic School in St. Catharines, with our two-year-old male peregrine falcon "Scotty".  Below are some comments from the school:

Thank you so much for the opportunity to have Scotty, David, and Nicole come to our school.  Their presentation regarding the Peregrine Falcon was enjoyed by all of our students in grades three through eight.

David and Nicole offered an excellent, entertaining, and informative presentation.  The video and visual aids helped our students understand and appreciate very complex issues.  Both presenters answered student questions and led the student discussion with ease.  The teachers in attendance appreciated the entire presentation very much.

Our students were absolutely in awe when they finally met Scotty.  They enjoyed a truly memorable learning opportunity because of this visit.  It is obvious from subsequent classroom discussions that the lessons learned during this presentation will remain meaningful for a very long time.

Our younger students are already hoping for a visit from your organization when they reach the junior division.  Thank you for making this possible.
