In March 2001, we visited St. Augustine School in Welland, with our one-year-old female peregrine falcon "Penny". Below are some comments from the students:
Dear Mr. Pfeffer,
During March, you visited us on behalf of the Canadian Peregrine Foundation. We were very anxious for your presentation as we thought it might be interesting to see falcons. We were very happy that your presentation was as exciting as we expected.
We found Penny to be entertaining and fun. You must be very brave to handle a bird like that. We didn’t really like the gifts Ophelia left on our gym floor, but what can you expect from a talented bird, all things have drawbacks. Thank you also for the information packets, we found them to be quite informative.
We hope you can come and visit us again some time. We look forward to visiting the website to see how the birds are doing. Thank you once again, and give Penny a piece of quail for us.
Sincerely,
The grade 4,6, and 7 classes
