In February 1999, we visited the students of Smithfield School. On this occasion we were joined by Autumn, a female peregrine with a broken wing from the Raptor Rehabilitation Centre in Grimsby, Ontario. Here are some of the comments we received from the students:
Dear Autumn, I really enjoyed your visit to our class. I hope you will join our class again. I liked looking at all of your colours. I hope peregrine falcons never get extinct. I hope your wing gets better soon. What I learned from seeing you close up is how you react to people. You are a little shy. I liked when you came out of your cage and looked at everyone. That was very cool. Thank you for coming to our class for a visit. Your friend, Aurjit |

Dear Stacey, Hi, thanks for coming to our school. You did a very good presentation. I learned a lot from it. I learned what DDT manes and all the other things you said. Autumn was very pretty and nice. She was getting nervous when a class came in the classroom. I hope you come again to our school. Yours sincerely, Erra |
