Project School Visit:
Sanford Avenue School (Hamilton)

Visits sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In March 2000, we visited Sanford Public School in Hamilton with our adult male peregrine falcon "Pablo", and in December 2000 we returned with our adult female peregrine "Qetesh".   Below are some comments from the vice-principal and a couple of drawings from the students:

Just a brief note to thank you for the presentation from the Peregrine Foundation.  The presentation was interesting for our students and tied in nicely with their science curriculum.

Amy has a very good way with children and encouraged questions from them.  Not only did our students learn about the Peregrine Falcon, but much of what they learned was about Endangered species in general.

Thank you once again for providing our students with this wonderful interactive learning experience.

Sincerely,

Lori Kyle, Vice-Principal
