Project School Visit:
Roselawn Public School (Richmond Hill)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In November 2000, we visited Richmond Hill's Roselawn Public School with our ten-year-old female peregrine falcon "Qetesh".  Below are some comments from the school:

We were very fortunate to experience the wonderful presentation by the Canadian Peregrine Foundation in our school.  Three groups of approximately 60 students each, representing grades 4-6, thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to learn about this amazing bird.

The children posed many provocative questions and each was answered with sensitivity and a depth of understanding.  Teachers, students, and parents in the audience learned a great deal about making a difference in helping an endangered species survive.

We owe a debt of gratitude to Canada Trust who provided the funding support necessary to make this presentation happen.  It is reassuring indeed to know that in the busy corporate world there are leaders who recognize the importance of reaching out and helping organizations such as the Canadian Peregrine Foundation.  Our children are richer in their experience because of you.

Thank you for your generosity and consideration by including Roselawn in your wonderful program!

Sincerely yours,

David Payne
Principal
