Project School Visit:  Resources

Student's Guides

The Canadian Peregrine Foundation has published three volumes in the Student's Guide to Canada's Wildlife at Risk series.  These booklets are an integral part of Project School Visit, with a class set of them being left behind at each school to enable teachers to extend the learning opportunities introduced during our presentation.

Videos

Brief video segments are used during Project School Visit to introduce students to the variety of behaviours in which raptors engage.  The Peregrine Unit is supported by "Life on the Ledge," which documents a year in the life of a peregrine falcon family in Etobicoke, Ontario, and "Operation Comeback," which, among other things, documents a year's work of the CPF's Rescue and Release programs.   Classes receiving the Osprey Unit watch a video segment showing the active Osprey nest at the Mountsberg Conservation Area.
