Project School Visit:
Parkview Public School (Hagersville)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In March 2001, we visited Hagersville's Parkview Public School with our one-year-old female peregrine falcon "Penny".  Below are some drawings and comments from the school:

Thank you for sharing many facts about the Peregrine Falcon and its habitat, including the two falcons that are now nesting in Toronto. Our grade 6 class trip to Toronto is planning to look for some of the cameras that have been placed near the nesting area.

We really enjoyed Penny. She was very well behaved, and is a beautiful bird. A live bird always makes the lesson much more meaningful. We enjoyed watching her eat, and seeing the characteristics found on all birds of prey.

Thank you for the class set of student's guides that have been placed in our library

Thanks again for your visit and knowledge.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Deb Downey, grade 4 teacher
