Project School Visit:
Our Lady Immaculate School (Strathroy)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In February 2001, we visited Strathroy's Our Lady Immaculate School in with our ten-year-old female peregrine falcon "Qetesh".  Below are some comments from the school:

On behalf of our staff and the Grade 4-7 students of Our Lady Immaculate Catholic School, I would like to thank you for the very informative presentation on February 1, 2001.  Our students were highly captivated and entertained by the very enthusiastic presentation by Mark Nash from the Canadian Peregrine Foundation.  His presentation provided our students with a great deal of insight into the effect of pesticides on our environment, the ecosystem, and a wealth of information about the peregrine falcon itself.  The highlight of the presentation was the opportunity to actually see a peregrine falcon up close!

Many thanks to the Canadian Peregrine Foundation and the Canada Turst Friends of the Environment for providing our students with this excellent learning opportunity.

Sincerely,

Ms Rosie McHugh
Principal
