In December 2001, we visited Our Lady of Fatima School in Cambridge with our female peregrine falcon "Qetesh". Below is a letter from the principal to the school's sponsor, Rockwell Automation:
Recently we had the unique experience of hosting a demonstration by the Canadian Peregrine Foundation.
The Project School Visit program was special for our school because our school mascot is a falcon. Imagine the excitement of our students to actually have a real falcon in their midst. Now when they wear our school "spiritwear" which has a picture of a falcon, it has a special meaning for them.
Our staff was also impressed by the detailed educational package that was presented.
I know that Rockwell Automation is a strong supporter of this program and in our February School Newsletter I intend to publicize this fact to all our school community. Thank you for allowing our children to have this educational and environmental experience.
Sincerely,
Alex
