In May 2002, we visited Kingston's Our Lady of Lourdes School with our female peregrine falcon "Penny". Below are short letters from two of the classes we visited:
The
grade 4 class found your presentation amazing and very impressive.
"Penny" your special guest provoked a great deal of interest
and concern for endangered species. The video really impressed us
with the way birds such as the Peregrine Falcon have adapted to a city
environment. Overall the students are very much aware of the need
to protect all animals in our local environments. Thank you, Grade 4 students |
On
behalf of my class I would like to thank you for the wonderful
presentation and demonstration, we all enjoyed it very much. I
also want to thank you for taking time off to visit our classroom and
showing us the beautiful Peregrine Falcon, Penny (she is a really
amazing girl). I want to thank you again for the exciting video
and demonstration on Peregrine Falcons. Now I am sure everyone in
this class has a different perspective on Peregrines! Thank you, The Grade 6 class |
