Project School Visit:
Notre Dame & Branlyn Schools (Brantford)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In February 2001, we visited Notre Dame and Branlyn Schools in Brantford with our nine-year-old female peregrine falcon "Ariel".  Below are some comments from the school:

Thank you for allowing both Notre Dame and Branlyn Schools to participate in your "School Visit Program".  Approximately 500 Grades 4-7 students had the wonderful experience of seeing a Peregrine Falcon.

Thanks to these presentations our students have an increased awareness of endangered species, not just the peregrine falcon.  The students were very attentive and asked many questions.  They came away from the assemblies with an increased sensitivity to the plight of the falcon.

Thank you for inviting our schools to participate in the program and please keep us in mind for future presentations.

Sincerely,

Tom Laracy, Notre Dame Principal
and
Brian Waggoner, Branlyn Principal
