In February 2000, we visited D. Aubrey Moodie school with a male peregrine named "Felix". Below are a couple of letters from the grade 6 students; special thanks to Amanda and Sean for providing their drawings of Felix:
Dear Mr.
Green, I really enjoyed the presentation on the peregrine falcon. I learned lots of interesting facts about the bird. I learned that these birds are endangered and that they eat only other birds and can get sick if DDT which should kill insects but instead it killed other birds like the peregrine. They will eat the whole body of the other bird including the feathers and the heart which gives them lots of vitamins. I thank you very much for the knowledge that you gave me about the peregrine falcon. I really liked Felix. Thank you very much and remember that I would be looking for peregrine falcons and if I see one, I'll let you know! Sincerely, Diliana |

Dear Mr.
Green, On behalf of 6E we'd like to thank you for coming to our school to help us learn about the peregrine falcon. Most of us did not know much about the peregrine falcon. We were pleased to know that the Canadian Peregrine Foundation is helping this endangered species. We learned a great deal about the peregrine falcon from the video and your presentation. Since many of us had never seen a peregrine falcon, we were very thrilled to have Felix visit us at D. A. Moodie School. We were especially honoured to be the first class to hear your preentation. Good luck in your work with the Canadian Peregrine Foundation. Asshi and Jeavana |
