In March 2000, we visited Military Trail school with our peregrine falcon "Pablo". We haven't received any feedback from the students, but here is a letter from the school:
Yesterday, Mark Nash from your foundation, visited our school. The presentations to our students far exceeded our expectations! To say that our children were spellbound is no exaggeration.
Comments from staff and students indicated to me that the program was not only interesting but it also fit into so many of the learning expectations established by the Ministry of Education. As you are aware, our school is designated as a "Program Assisted A" facility. This means that the school and the community exhibit significant inner city qualities. For the vast majority of our students, this experience was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Your presentation has inspired a curiosity for wildlife and a commitment from the students to raise sufficient funds to adopt a peregrine.
We truly hope that we will be on your list of school visits in the future. I thank you on behalf of the students, staff, and parents of our school.
Sincerely,
Joan E. A. Luce, Principal
