In September 2001, we visited North Bay's Laurentian Public School with our young red-tailed hawk, "Eric". Below is a letter from the school:
Thank you for the excellent presentation on September 17 to our junior students. David Pfeffer, the biologist have a very good overview of the endangered birds and handled questions in a thoughtful manner. The opportunity for children to see live birds not only adds to the interest level but supports the message. On behalf of our students and school community I thank you both and appreciate the opportunity to have guest speakers come to the north at no cost to our children. Please forward our thanks to the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.
Sincerely,
Irene
