In February 2002, we visited Sudbury's Lansdowne Public School, with our eleven-year-old female peregrine falcon "Qetesh". Below are some comments from a teacher, along with a drawing by one of her students:

Thank
you for visiting Lansdowne Public School on February 8, 2002. The
children at the grade 4 level study habitats as part of the Ontario
Science Curriculum, so it was extremely relevant to the students'
learning. Your presentation was very relaxed and yet informative. The children responded well to your delivery and were quite excited when we got back to the classroom. I'd like to thank the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation for enabling you to bring this authentic learning experience to the children. Yours truly, Mrs. Melissa Haight Grades 3/4 teacher |
