Project School Visit:
Lambton Park Community School (Toronto)

Visit sponsored by: TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In February 2003. we visited Toronto's Lambton Park Community School with one of our peregrine falcons.   Below are comments from the school:

Thank you for coming to our school.  The falcon school program, sponsored by the TD Canada Trust - Friends of the Environment, is amazing.  We learned so many things about falcons.  It is hard to believe that there were only two hundred falcons left in North America.

We think that you should keep the program so more people can learn about these wonderful peregrine falcons.  It is a great program to carry into schools in Ontario.  It teaches us not only about falcons, but about D.D.T., a poison for falcons.  D.D.T. makes the falcons' eggshells softer than they are supposed to be.  We all learned a lot about falcons, like how fast they fly and how well they see and hear.

We thank you for coming and we thank The TD Canada Trust - Friends of the Environment for funding the program.

Sincerely,

Alana Suida and Leanne Jones and Grade 6 students of room 314
