In January 2003. we visited Sarnia's Johnston Memorial Public School with one of our peregrine falcons. Below are comments from the school and comments and drawings from the students:
Thank you for bringing the Canadian Peregrine Foundation to Johnston Memorial School in January. Our students thoroughly enjoyed seeing the falcon and hearing about how these wonderful birds live in our environment. We made some excellent connections to our Life Science curriculum.
We are very lucky to have the TD Canada Trust – Friends of the Environment to provide funding for this worthwhile venture.
Thanks to you and to TD.
Ruth Kohut - V.P., Johnston Memorial Public School
The Canadian Peregrine Foundation visit was very exciting for students and staff. Maya Basdeo did a professional and fun presentation with Ariel, and it was linked to our science program and curriculum. the TD Canada Trust - Friends of the Environment are to be thanked for sponsoring this fabulous learning project. My Grade 4 students are looking forward to another presentation soon and are very interested in the adoption program.
Mrs. Cora Balden - Grade 4 Teacher
