Project School Visit:
Iroquois Junior Public School (Scarborough)

Visit sponsored by: The New Ontario Trillium Foundation

In November 1999, we visited Iroquois Junior School with our 9-year-old female peregrine falcon "Qetesh".  Included below is a photo of Bill Green (left) and Marcel Gahbauer (right) with Qetesh during one of the presentations, as well as a letter from the school:

On November 19, 1999 the staff and junior division students at Iroquois Junior Public had the pleasure of hearing your presentation on Peregrine Falcons.

During the presentation, students were enthralled by the awesome stature of the creature and delighted to have the opportunity to see such a magnificent animal at close range.  The information learned during the presentation helped to sensitize students to the interconnected nature of humans and animals in the environment.  The video and student work books shared with us were valuable and appreciated as well.

Sincerely,

E. Wilkes, Principal
