Project School Visit:
Adelaide Hoodless School (Hamilton)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In February 2000, we visited Hamilton's Adelaide Hoodless School with our one-year-old male peregrine falcon "Scotty".  Below are some comments from the principal, as well as some feedback from the grade 4 students:

I want to thank you for the wonderful workshops.  Our staff was delighted with the high caliber of the presentations.  The resources that you so kindly provided are helpful and well developed.

You may be interested to know that as a result of your visit we have managed to book a reptile workshop in April.  The students loved the falcons and teachers recognized ways to improve our program as a result of your visit.

Sincerely,

Donna Quigley, Principal

The people in my group like it a lot because we got to see an endangered species.  It was interesting because I learned something.  Michael thought everybody liked it.   Jay and Matthew thought it was funny when the bird tried to fly away. The falcon show was awesome because we got to see that movie.  We liked the falcon show also because the bird acted funny.  The falcon show was real cool because we got to see a real falcon.  The movie was cool 'cause we got to see the birds habitats.   I like when the bird ate the other birds. Scotty is a nice name for a bird.  I think the performance was super!  We liked to see wild birds.  We like it because it ate other birds.  We like the colour of its feathers.  We liked the shape of the falcon's body.  We really like seeing wild birds up close.  It was funny when it tried to fly away.
