Project School Visit:
Holy Family Catholic School (Kingston)

Visit sponsored by:  the Davies Foundation

In February 2001, we visited  Kingston's Holy Family Catholic School with our nine-year-old female peregrine falcon "Ariel".  Below are some comments from the school:

The presentation by your peregrine team was one of the highlights of the year for the school.  It was a delight to see the wonder in the eyes of the students as the falcon came to visit us here at our school.  This is the real purpose of education to bring the essence of our nature to each of the children within our system.  It is the first time that many of these children would have experienced a bird of any description up close.  To find out about the history of this bird and its struggle to survive is a lesson for all to hear and appreciate.

Our thanks to the Davies Foundation for providing us with this most entertaining and informative session and please accept from us a small donation so that perhaps others may take advantage of this most outstanding nature lesson.

Yours sincerely,

K.G. White
Principal
