In April 2002, we visited Toronto's Harwood Junior Public School with our female peregrine falcon "Qetesh". Below is a letter from the school:
Students
from our grades 4-7 were captivated by the presentation. The live
peregrine that was brought in was a highlight for students and staff. At a
time when schools cannot afford the luxury of visiting presenters, this one was
very much appreciated. Please note that this presentation was made
possible by the financial support of the Toronto Dominion Friends of the
Environment Foundation.
Presenters spoke about the work that had been done to help the peregrine. There
was a brief video clip and then we got to see the much anticipated
peregrine. Presenters were patient answering the many questions from our
students.
I would strongly recommend this presentation to any school. I am confident
that the Canadian Peregrine Foundation would be capable of modifying this
session in order to appeal to any age group.
Yours truly,
Ms. Nina Moore
