In May 2000, we visited Brantford's Greenbrier School with our 13-year-old male peregrine falcon "Pablo". Below is a letter from the grade 7 class, and some drawings submittted by students who enjoyed the presentation: Jennifer N (top), Lucy K (middle), and Sasha M (bottom):

Thank
you for bringing your peregrine falcon to our school. We greatly
appreciated seeing "Scotty".
We all enjoyed learning how this almost extinct bird has survived and is now almost off the endangered list. It was disturbing to find out that DDT was endangering the peregrine falcon by softening its eggs so new birds weren't hatching. We were amazed by the size of the bird and the fact that it can take down animals larger than itself. Thank you for taking your time to share this information with all of us. Sincerely, Grade Seven Class, Greenbrier |
