In November 2001 we visited Oshawa's Gertrude Colpus Public School with our young female peregrine falcon "Penny". Below is a letter from the school:
Thank you for offering your school visit program to our school in early November. Biologist David Pfeffer's presentation to our junior students was excellent. The students were engaged for the entire presentation. Penny's appearance of course was a highlight of the visit. The information regarding endangered species and the plight of the peregrine falcon was expertly delivered. Our students were able to make a donation to the Canadian Peregrine Foundation and I believe everyone had a very good understanding of the purpose of the Foundation. Thank you as well for the informative video and student workbooks that are now available in our library.
Good luck with your school program and the Foundation's effort to increase the peregrine falcon population in the years ahead.
Sincerely,
Bille
