In November 2001, we visited the First Nations School of Toronto with our young female peregrine falcon, "Penny". Below is a letter from the school:
This is a short note to say how much we, the teachers and students at First Nations School of Toronto enjoyed your presentation. I know many of the children were absolutely thrilled with the experience of seeing such a beautiful example of a raptor. In light of the Native Culture here at our school and the value placed on birds like the falcon and especially the eagle, it was even more meaningful. If only Penny knew how important her presence was here! I thank you again and hope to see you again, every year if possible.
Sincerely,
Murray
