In October 2002, we visited Corbeil's Ferris Glen Public School with one of our peregrine falcons. Below are comments from the school as well as drawings from the students:
Thank you for visiting our school on Monday October 23 and delivering a very informative presentation on the Canadian Peregrine Foundation.
Our teachers’ evaluations included remarks such as:
It was great the students really enjoyed it and learned some new facts about conservation
Nice variety with the video, questions and answer sessions and the live bird
Having the live falcon was wonderful
Maya Basdeo was very effective. Again some of the comments from teachers included:
Very enthusiastic. She was able to make the students understand a complex issue.
Maya was pleasant with the children. She asked and answered many questions to keep the children involved. The information complemented our Science curriculum. Information about the food chain, animal habitats, extinction and endangered species enhanced the students’ knowledge. How changes in nature or human actions effect the habitats of animals was also informative for all of us.
Thank you for giving the students of Ferris Glen an opportunity to learn about the Canadian Peregrine Foundation and it’s wonderful work.
