In March 2001, we visited Our Lady of Fatima Public School in Brantford with our nine-year-old female peregrine falcon "Ariel". Below are some comments from the school:
I am writing this letter to express our appreciation for the excellent presentation our Grade 4-6 classes experienced in early March.
Both students and staff learned much about endangered species and especially the falcon. David Pfeffer is a truly gifted presenter and a natural teacher. He captivated us all with his knowledge and enthusiasm. Our students especially enjoyed the part in his program when he brought Ariel out of her cage. Staff members were most impressed with the rapport he had with this bird. It was indeed a presentation to remember.
Teachers followed up on the presentation in their classroom and found the booklets and video David left with us to be extremely helpful. They were amazed at the interest level and insights of their students. This program definitely enhanced student learning.
Please extend our thanks to the sponsors of this program. Partnerships such as this one allow our students to learn about key environmental issues in a more meaningful way. As a Catholic community we recognize the importance of being stewards of God's creation and certainly appreciate this stewardship in others.
May God be with you and bless you in all your future endeavours.
Sincerely,
M.
